WEB – Where Everybody Belongs! |
|
Welcome to
Supai Middle School's WEB Leader page! Feel free to look around.
What Is WEB?
WEB (Where Everybody
Belongs) is a middle school transition program designed by The Boomerang Project. The
purpose of WEB is to welcome each new 7th grader at Supai and make everyone
feel that they belong to our community. 8th grade WEB Leaders are trained
to work with and support 7th graders throughout their first year in middle
school, and to help them adjust to middle school. The year starts with an
orientation the Friday before school, and there are follow up activities
through the year to help reinforce and build the relationships built during the
orientation.
This year,
we are lucky to have a class period where WEB leaders can meet together and
plan events for the 7th grade students. In addition, we will work on leadership
skills, study the pillars of character, and read and work with Sean Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. We have a class set of this book available,
but I highly encourage each of you to purchase your own if possible. I am excited about this year and all we’ll
achieve together!
If you're a
CURRENT WEB leader, this is where
you'll find information about upcoming activities. If you think you're
interested in being a WEB leader next year, check out all that we do.
We're always looking for great leaders!
