The Standards for the 21st-Century Learner were published in October 2007. The standards are designed to offer vision for teaching and learning and to serve as a tool for library media specialists to use to shape the learning of students in the school.

Concept Maps   The SUSD concept maps provide students, parents and teachers with a year-long guide of concept level student learning outcomes. Teachers use the concept map for planning and developing classroom learning experiences based on “best practices” instructional strategies to promote teaching for learning.

       Instructional programs at our libraries are based on the SUSD Library Media Curriculum.  
       Scottsdale teacher librarians have aligned SUSD Library Curriculum with the new Standards for the 21st     Century Learner.
