Mrs. Straus teaches Health Care I & II and the nursing assistant courses.

Mrs. Straus is available for extra help nearly every day after school. It is best to make an appointment. Students who need to catch a bus are encouraged to phone her office for after school help.

Mrs. Straus is the faculty advisor for the Health Careers and the Health Care Volunteer Clubs, and she serves as the Saguaro representative to the Scottsdale Education Rep council.

Class Rules & Procedures

SUSD Code of Conduct, Saguaro Dress Code, Saguaro Bill of Respect and general expectations of polite, attentive, respectful behavior will be honored in all classes. All students will be given a detailed description of class expectations which must be signed by each student and a parent to acknowledge they have read and understood the class rules.
Additional procedures, achievement, behaviors and commitment are required of the Health Care Students to allow for entrance to the hospital clinical portion during second semester.
Biology Students must pass 1st semester to be eligible for 2nd semester. See appropriate course syllabus for further details.
