Dear Families,
I am ecstatic to be your
child’s 6th grade teacher.
We are going to have a fun-filled, academic rigorous, action packed
year. Communication and
involvement in your young adult’s education is KEY to their success. While 6th graders tend to
crave independence and privacy, their teacher craves parent involvement and
questioning about their day, homework assignments, long-term projects and
more. Please be sure to contact me
to clarify your questions, concerns and to share any thoughts you have. The door to my room is always open to
families.
Our
room parent is Rosella Terpstra.
She is a valuable help to me both organizing events as well as
communicating with families. Beth
Tarkington is chairing our Wal-Mart recycling challenge. Send in all types of plastic bags so
that we can recycle, help our environment while earning money for our D.C.
trip. Kelly Strayer is organizing
our first Family Movie Night on Oct. 26th. Thanks to these parents and many more that help our
classroom and school run smoothly.
