Welcome to sixth grade at Cocopah!!! This is going to be the best year ever
for your child!!!! I have been teaching special needs
students for 22 years. I taught in
New York before coming here 16 years ago.
I have taught at all levels (elementary, middle school, and high
school). I have experience working
with a wide range of abilities. I am looking forward to meeting with all of you and getting to know you and your child throughout the school year. Sixth grade is a transition year. The students are excited about being in Middle School and I am excited about working with them!!!! I am a dedicated teacher that doesn’t
hesitate to advocate for your child in the school setting. I have had great success working with
students over the years. The work
is challenging for students with special needs, but with plenty of support,
both in school and at home, they do very well. The students receive plenty of support and learn new ways of
succeeding academically throughout the year. This makes then feel successful and more confident about
what they are able to accomplish.
I work hard with my students and have high, but realistic, expectations
for all of the students that I work with.
I have had students who have been on the honor roll more than once in
the school year!!! I feel a parent’s involvement in their child’s education is
paramount to their child doing well in school this year. It is vital for all three
(Parent/Teacher/Student) to work together to make this a fantastic year. Please don’t hesitate to call/email me
if there are any questions/concerns regarding your child. (480-484-4400
