STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:

Attendance is important. There will be consequences for absences (see attendance policy). Your input is essential to the overall success of the class. Absences must be called into attendance office within 24 hours or unexcused.

Be on time and be prepared for course instructions. (HAVE PAPER AND PENCILS EVERY DAY)

Participate in the brainteasers and other activities at the beginning of class.

Remove all hats and turn off all radios and CD players before entering the class. Cell phones being used in class will result in the phone being taken away. Treat the classroom, students, peers, teachers, and themselves with respect.

(STUDENTS HAVE BEEN PROVIDED A GRAFFITI WALL IN THE CLASS ROOM. ANYTHING MAY BEEN WRITTEN ON BOARD EXCEPT PERSONAL STATEMENTS OR ATTACKS, GANG TAGGING, AND VULGAR LANGUAGE.) (VULGAR LANGUAGE IN CLASS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED) WE WILL FOLLOW THE GOLDEN RULE, TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WISH TO BE TREATED

Student work is expected to be turned in on due date, work will be accepted up to only one day late (grade minus 10%). Unexcused absences on test days as well as any other day will not be eligible for makeup.

Students may be informed that notes can be used on exams, so students are expected to take notes during class.

Complete all assigned assignments or homework. Testing will not be limited to pencil and paper tests.

Grading will be done in the following manner, each assignment will be worth certain number of points, at the end of the quarter, student’s points will be totaled and then divided by the points possible. The percentage will be the grade.90 – 100% A, 80 – 89 % B, 70 – 79% C, 60 – 69% D, 0 – 59% F  

 

Students are expected to be on time for each and every class period. If a student is tardy more than 3 times, he or she will lose 1% of his or her final grade for each set of 3 tardies.  In addition, any student with more than 10 tardies a semester may be subject to being dropped from class.

3.      CLEANING MR. TROUTMAN CLASSROOM

4.      3% OFF FINAL GRADE IN THIS CLASS (FOR EVERY OFFENSE AFTER THE THIRD)
