Hello!  My name is Brooke Ford and I am a PANDA teacher here at Navajo Elementary.  Class times are 8:15am till 10:45am for the morning class, and 12:15pm till 2:45pm for the afternoon class.  My classroom is located in room 47, the phone number to contact me at is 480-484-2600 ext. 5147, and my e-mail address is bford@susd.org.  E-mail is always the best way to get in contact with me, however you may also call me at school and I will return the message as soon as possible. 

 

An incredible team helps to keep our classroom running so well this year.  Along with me in the classroom there are two assistants, a speech pathologist, an occupational therapist, and a physical therapist.  Penny Amadio & Krystal Smith are the two assistants in the classroom, they are there to help reinforce the goals within the classroom setting.  Meryl Hurwitz is the speech pathologist in our room, she will be working on your child’s speech skills; she has been working in the PANDA program for 10 years.  Margie Dollery is the occupational therapist in the room; she will be focusing on your child’s fine motor skills and sensory integration.  Carla Gagliotti is the physical therapist in our room this year; she will be focusing on your child’s gross motor development.

 

            This is my first year as the PANDA teacher at Navajo Elementary.  I taught regular education preschool for four years prior to coming here.  I have my undergrad degree in Child Development & Family Studies and I have my Masters in Special Education.  I love working with children and could not imagine doing anything else.
