I am happy to be your teacher during this
memorable time in your life. I hope this
class is rewarding and worthwhile for you, even if you have had difficulties
with, or have not enjoyed, English classes in the past. I want to
get to know you as an individual, and will do my best to help you realize
your special talents and abilities if you will allow me to.
Understanding English is, simply, knowing how to
express yourself clearly. However, to really master this subject you
must be willing to think and write beyond the obvious, and with
creativity. Ultimately, my goal for this course has little to do with
your grade. I want you to become a better thinker, communicator, and
person. These skills will come in handy later in life.
