Course Description: Individual Study Skills are taught in the Learning Resource Center to serve the needs of identified special education students. Students will work on organizational skills. In Support, the students will have time to work on assignments and projects. They will keep a daily agenda that lists all work due for the week.

 

Outline: Class time will be spent on:

 

Individual IEP goals

 

Note taking and test taking techniques

 

Small group instruction

 

 Vocation/educational goals

 

 

 

Grading: Students earn a grade based on behavior, attendance, achievement.

Agendas will be checked daily.

 

ABOUT ME

 

I have been at DMHS for 11 years and have also taught at the college level. I have a Masters in History and Special Education. For many years, I served as Department Chair of Social Studies, district curriculum instructor, and mentor for new teachers. I believe in a risk free environment where all students can be successful.
