Originally from the Denver area, Dale has taught special education students for three years in Boulder, Colorado.  She worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor for 4 years before moving to Colorado Springs where she was an elementary guidance counselor.  After moving to Arizona in 1989, she worked in Special Education before becoming a guidance counselor at Arcadia High School.  Dale left Arcadia in 1995 to be part of the group to open Desert Mountain High School.
