Assistive
Technology Service Delivery Model
The goal of the
Assistive Technology Program is to facilitate integration of AT strategies
and solutions into the day to day classroom activities by:
1. Assisting the IEP teams to
recognize students’ potential needs for AT solutions
2. Assisting IEP teams to identify
tasks and explore potential tools in an organized plan with predetermined
criteria for success within a targeted time period
3. Order or assist the IEPÂ team to procure the equipment
4. Train student and team to use
products during exploration and integration into classroom curriculum stages
to empower IEP team to continue integrating the technology into daily
classroom activities without the direct input of the AT specialists
5. Assist IEP teams to recognize
need/timing to revise plan consistent with the identified tasks across
environments
6. Assist teacher and members of
the IEP team to make AT solutions available for appropriate daily tasks with
access customized for all students
7. Assist teacher to enhance
teaching and learning using no tech through high tech solutions
